Biography.
Scoot Drescher is a born and bred South Texas boy. Reared in the warehouse and offices of the infamous South Texas Wholesale Records & Tapes, he collected and absorbed every inch of vinyl that he could get his hands on. Scoot Drescher finally landed in Allen, TX, north of Dallas, after moving around the state during his early years. Following high school, Scoot Drescher traveled back to his roots in the southern end of the state to pursue anything involving music, whether it be through schooling or life lessons. His journey ventured from roadie to bass player, songwriter to mandolin player, sound engineer to road manager, and many places in between along the way. Through trials and tribulations, his musical journey progressed: A horrific motorcycle accident led him to pick up the mandolin, life's hurdles led to growth and depth in his songwriting, and all of it combined gave him an education on the ins and outs of the business he longed to be a part of. Currently, Scoot Drescher is based out of the North Texas area. He spends his time playing music all around the great state of Texas, and surrounding areas, with other songwriters and like-minded troubadours.
