Biography. Rumor has it that in the dead of the night in the woods behind the trailer park in Wylie, TX, if you're very quiet, you can hear the echoes of vocalist, John Willis, rehearsing his three chords and songs for the next show. If you look around, you might see the moon too. But don't look too hard, it's probably just bass/mandolin/harmonica/etc. player, Scoot Drescher's backside. The tinkling of Francie Krienitz's percussion instruments could almost be mistaken for the slamming of a door or windchimes hanging off a trailer awning if you weren't paying close enough attention. This rowdy group of seasoned musicians gather together to form The Garage Door Boys, a group aptly named after the founders, John Willis and Scoot Drescher's line of work. Their music will most definitely keep you dancing and smiling all night long. The Garage Door Boys can be seen with their set list on a piece of lumber, guitar straps and percussion instruments could be made of just about anything lying around, and if you're lucky enough, you might catch Little Joe, the tiniest member of The Garage Door Boys and John Willis' son, running around spreading smiles. Currently, The Garage Door Boys are excited to announce the release of our debut EP, Froot Farm Sessions EP. Meanwhile, be sure to starch up your jeans, shine your boots, stretch out your hip shaking muscles, and get out to a show! You can't not have a good time!
